A person Dennis Ritchie the Software pioneer is famously known for inventing C programming language and also contributed a lot in the establishment of latest technology. It was really sad news that he died due to some illness at the age of 70.

He was the son of the famous pioneer and the Bell Lab scientist Alistair E. Ritchie and soon after his graduation in applied mathematics and physics he joined the Bell Labs. Ritchie started off his career through the Bell Labs and from there he stated off with the C language.
He remained in partnership with Brian Kernighan and Ken Thompson and that proved to be very influential throughout their career. With the help of these founders Dennis co-authored the C programming language. He was able to earn fame in the field of computing with the cooperation of Thompson and they were able to design useful operating systems for the users, which is now being very useful for us.
Ritchie’s remarkable progress on UNIX and C is now being appreciated and applied by many programming languages and operating systems like Apple’s Mac OS, Google’s Android, Linux, C++, JavaScript and others.
For the work on C Programming language and UNIX both the partners Thompson and Ritchie were honored and awarded for that. Ritchie was really a hardworking person as he used to work for long hours and remain connected to the Bell Labs computers.
